El NCS-TT306H is a high-performance 4-20mA Temperature Transmitter with integrated HART 7 communication. 1. Universal Sensor Compatibility – Direct Replacement for Legacy Units
This RTD Temperature Transmitter also functions as a Thermocouple Temperature Transmitter, supporting 2-, 3-, or 4-wire RTDs and 8 standard TC types. It accepts resistance (0~40000Ω) and mV (-100~100mV) inputs, making it a versatile drop-in replacement for most existing temperature sensors in the field.

2. High Accuracy with Low Temperature Drift
Maintains ±0.1°C accuracy for Pt100 RTDs and ±0.4°C for K-type TCs at 25°C, with a current output accuracy of 0.05%. The ultra-low temperature drift ensures stable measurement under harsh ambient temperature variations.

3. SIL Functional Safety for Critical Loops
For safety-certified models, the transmitter supports SIL mode with fixed diagnostic alarm levels. When entering SIL mode, the device locks configuration parameters and performs a rigorous self-diagnostic boot-up sequence, ensuring fail-safe operation in emergency shutdown (ESD) systems.

4. Advanced Diagnostics & NAMUR NE43 Compliance
Full self-diagnostics include sensor burnout (open/short circuit), device overtemperature, and corrosion detection. Configurable saturation currents (3.8 mA / 20.5 mA) and alarm currents (3.6 mA / 21.75 mA) comply with NAMUR NE43, allowing clear distinction between valid measurements and fault conditions.

5. Optional Dual-Channel with Hot Backup Redundancy
(Only for dual-channel models) – When the primary sensor fails, the transmitter automatically switches to the backup sensor without interrupting the 4-20mA loop current. This hot backup feature ensures maximum process uptime for critical temperature points.

6. Local LCD & On-Site Button Configuration
Equipped with a dot-matrix LCD and three local buttons ([M], [S], [Z]), engineers can adjust range, units, and damping directly in the field without a handheld communicator.

Configuration & Software

Use the HartMPT software (by Microcyber) or standard HART handheld communicators (e.g., Emerson 475 / AMS) to:

  • Modify Tag, Descriptor, and Polling Address (0–63).

  • Set LRV/URV for 4mA and 20mA outputs.

  • Configure dynamic variable mapping (Sensor 1, Sensor 2, Average, Difference, Sum).

  • Perform 16-point linearization to improve overall measurement linearity.

  • Enable/disable Burst mode for fast cyclic communication.
