NCS-TT106H-V2.0 Intelligent HART Temperature Transmitter User Manual

Warning

  1. It is forbidden for users to disassemble the temperature module by themselves.
  2. Please check if the supply voltage of the temperature transmitter meets the power supply voltage requirements in the manual.

1. Brief Introduction

NCS-TT106H-V2.0 is a new generation of smart fieldbus temperature transmitter based on fieldbus technology. It is an essential field device for process control.

The transmitter integrates rich function blocks, supporting both general measurement and complex control strategies. It uses digital technology and can connect to various thermocouple and RTD sensors. With a wide measuring range and simple field-to-control-room interface, it significantly reduces installation, operation and maintenance costs.

NCS-TT106H-V2.0 supports HART protocol and is widely used in petroleum, chemical, power and metallurgical industries.

2. Installation

2.2 Installation Use two screws through the positioning holes to mount the temperature module onto the temperature housing or DIN rail.

Cableado

  • Power and bus signal share one pair of cables (bus cable).
  • It is recommended to use IEC 61158-2 compliant fieldbus cable.
  • Do not share conduits or cable trays with high-power equipment.
  • Keep away from high-power devices.
  • Ground the shield wires at both ends of the bus.

3. Transmisor de temperatura HART Configuración

3.1 Topology Connection

4–20 mA Compatible Mode

  • Connects to the upper control system via AI module and HART communication device.
  • Supports mixed analog and digital communication.
  • Device address is fixed at 0.

4~20mA compatibility mode

Networking Mode

  • Connects via HART communication device.
  • Uses only digital HART function; loop current fixed at 4 mA.
  • Supports up to 64 devices (short address).

3.2 Functional Configuration

Supported configuration software: Microcyber HartMPT, HART FCG SDC625 and other standard HART tools.

Configuration Environment

  • PC with serial port (Windows 2000 / XP)
  • HART Modem + serial cable
  • Matching resistor 250 Ω – 550 Ω

Main Functions

  1. Basic Information Configuration Address (0–63), message (max 32 characters), description (max 16), tag (max 8), date, assembly number, write protection, manufacturer information, etc.

  2. Configuration Information

    • Damping: 0–32 s
    • Unit: °C, °F, °R, K, mV, Ohm
    • Upper / Lower range
    • Alarm type and value (high: 21.75–23.00 mA; low: 3.50–3.75 mA)
    • Set range limits or zero using current PV value
  3. Sensor Configuration Supported sensors:

    • Resistance: 0–500 Ω, 0–4000 Ω
    • RTD: Pt100, Pt1000, Cu50, Cu100
    • Thermocouple: B, E, J, K, N, R, S, T
    • mV: –100 ~ +100 mV

    Wiring: 2-wire / 3-wire / 4-wire (RTD only) Cold-junction compensation: Disable / Internal / External Two-wire zero calibration, R0 correction factor (0.9–1.1), factory restore/save functions available.

  4. Calibración actual

    • Connect a precision ammeter in series.
    • Set polling address to 0.
    • Calibrate 4 mA and 20 mA points.
    • Support fixed current output mode.
    • Over-range fixed output: 20.8 mA (high) / 3.8 mA (low).
  5. Variable Monitoring Real-time display of PV, current, percentage and cold-junction temperature with trend curve.

4. Maintenance

Phenomenon Solución
No communication Check bus cable connection, power polarity, shield grounding (single-point). Replace module for testing if necessary.
Reading error Check sensor short/open/ground; adjust damping; check housing grounding and terminal moisture; keep cables away from strong EMI; verify sensor type and function block parameters.
