The MCAT06 is an active terminating resistor for PROFIBUS DP and RS-485 networks. Using the MCAT06, PROFIBUS and other RS-485 2-wire networks can be directly disconnected at the end of the bus. This ensures secure communication even when bus devices are connected/disconnected during operation.
