The MCAFD series active fieldbus distributors (explosion-proof type) are suitable for FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 and PROFIBUS PA applications. They connect field devices to the system in a trunk-branch topology. Each MCAFD4/MCAFD8/MCAFD12 distributor has 4/8/12 branches, a built-in automatic bus termination, and LED status indicators for quick diagnosis of short circuits in the main and branch lines. They automatically isolate faulty sections, and the distributors’ multiple protection functions ensure safe system operation. The distributors are explosion-proof certified and can be used in Zone 2.
